Alexander Goyena Uy

Alexander Goyena Uy, 43, of Wilmington, Delaware passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 28, 2019.

Born in Wilmington on September 2, 1976, Alex was a graduate of Salesianum School, class of 1994 and Ursinus College, class of 1998.  He was employed as a cyber security specialist with Computer Sciences Corp. (currently DXC) for 20 years, and was currently employed as the Deputy Information Systems Manager with the State of Delaware.  Alex enjoyed running, playing ultimate frisbee and was a talented cook.  He possessed a generous spirit and always placed the needs of others before his own.

Alex will be dearly missed by his wife of 18 years, Michelle Lewis Uy; his children, Samantha and Ryan Uy; his mother, Yolanda Uy; his brothers, Michael Uy, Steven Uy and his wife, Barbara; Stephanie Gilibert and her husband, Lionel.  He also leaves his beloved dog, Peanut Butter Uy.

Friends are welcome to visit at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Pike Creek on Tuesday, September 3 from 3:00-4:30PM.  Funeral services will be held privately for the immediate family.
