Linda C. Pipari, age 68, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 4, 2018 with her loving family by her side. Through the years, she had overcome many medical obstacles.
Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, Linda was the daughter of the late Dominick and Mary (Festa) Paranzino. She was a graduate of South Philadelphia High School, Class of 1966. For the past 20 years, Linda was working as a paraprofessional at the Meadowood Program, Red Clay Consolidated School District.
Family was the most important part of Linda’s life, especially spending time with her grandchildren. Linda was an amazing cook and she loved to have the whole family together for the holidays, especially hosting on Thanksgiving and Easter. Through the years, there were many treasured family vacations, which included Virginia Beach, and Myrtle Beach, as well as fun trips with her husband, Joseph, especially a memorable trip to Italy in 2008.
In her leisure time, Linda loved shopping and reading.She and her husband enjoyed going to dinner with her sister Terri and her husband, Anthony.
Linda leaves a beautiful legacy as someone who always put everyone else first. She gave even when she had little to give and she loved everyone unconditionally.
Linda is survived by her high school sweetheart and loving husband of 46 years, Joseph Pipari; son, Marc Pipari; daughter, Linda Gitski (Jay); five grandchildren, Ashley and Joseph Pipari, Trevor, Taylor and Brianna Gitski; sisters, Nancy Aversa (John), Mary Gilkin (Robert) and Theresa Salvatore (Anthony); as well as many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may visit on Friday, March 9 from 5 to 7 PM at Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Rd., Wilmington, DE 19808. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 10 at 10 AM at St. John the Beloved Church, 907 Milltown Rd., Wilmington, DE. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery.
