Phyllis C. Manno

Phyllis C. Manno, born on July 30, 1938, in Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2024, in Wilmington, DE, at the age of 85. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Phyllis was a Registered Nurse at St. Francis Hospital and the Delaware State Hospital before devoting her time to raising her children. She was a dedicated caregiver both professionally and personally.

She is survived by her children, Chris (Pam) Manno, Robert (Marcia) Manno, Leo Manno, and Maria Manno; her grandchildren, Michael Manno, Jr., Sarah Manno, Gabrielle Manno, Bryan Bellafore, Robert Hanna, Joseph Hanna; her 8 great-grandchildren, Kayden, Ethan, Aeva, Thomas, Bryan, Joseph, Oliver, Henry; and one great-great-grandchild, Kaylen. Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas L. Manno, and her son, Michael Manno.

Phyllis attended St. Peter School in New Castle, DE, and St. Francis Hospital Nursing School for her higher education. She worshipped at St. John the Beloved in Wilmington, DE, and St. Ann Catholic Church in Bethany Beach, DE.

Throughout the years, Phyllis enjoyed participating in various bible study groups and was an avid painter. She generously shared her artistic talents by teaching art classes at Del Tech Georgetown and from her home in Ocean View, DE.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, April 25, 2024, from 10AM-11AM at St. John the Beloved Catholic Church, 907 Milltown Rd., Wilmington, DE 19808. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11AM. Interment will take place on Monday, April 29th, 2024, at 11:30AM in Gates of Heaven Cemetery, 32112 Vines Creek Rd., Dagsboro, DE.
