William N. Greigg, Jr. was born in Philadelphia, PA on August 23, 1915 and died just 23 days shy of his 102nd on July 28, 2017.

Bill was predeceased by his wife, Margaret Lamborn Greigg; his parents, William N. Greigg, Sr. and Rose Park; his brothers, Joseph and Robert Greigg, and his sister, Rosemarie Greigg Sauter. He is survived by numerous friends, nieces and nephews.

Bill served on various LST Ships around the world in the US Navy during World War II. Both he and his wife, Margaret, retired from the DuPont Newport Plant in 1977.

The family would like to thank the personnel and patrons of the Crossroads Restaurant for their friendship and the Broadmeadow Cadia Rehab Center for their loving care during his seven month stay there.

Family and friends may visit on Sunday, August 6 from 2 to 4 PM at Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Rd., Wilmington, DE 19808.

A graveside committal service will be held on Monday, August 7 at 1 PM at Hockessin Friends Cemetery, 1501 Old Wilmington Rd., Hockessin, DE 19707.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bill’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 92 Reads Way, New Castle, DE 19720 or the charity of the donor's choice.
