Wendy Lee (Lane) Bosari

Wendy Lee (Lane) Bosari, 58 of Newark, DE, passed away peacefully at home, after a courageous 12 ½ year battle with ovarian cancer.

Wendy was born in Wilmington, DE and was a 1976 graduate of Christiana High School. She married Bob Bosari in 1982 and shortly after started their family. After raising her children, Wendy went on to work as a dental hygienist for Dr. Mark Gladnick.

Wendy loved taking trips to Rehoboth Beach and tried to always find time to enjoy a nice glass of red wine and a good book. She was also an avid fan of the Philadelphia Flyers. Above all else she lived and fought for her family. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, proud “Mimi” and a wonderful friend.

Wendy is survived by her beloved husband, Bob Bosari; her children, Britni Stewart (Donnie) and Evan Bosari (Samantha); her granddaughter, Emmy; a grandson on the way; her parents, Frank and Florence Lane; her brother, Frank Lane III (Donna); her mother-in-law, Lois Bosari; brother-in-law, Jack Bosari; sisters-in-law, Diana and Barbara Bosari; and many close friends.

Wendy’s family would like to extend their appreciation to Dr. Waleed Shalaby, Dr. Mark Borowsky and everyone at the Helen Graham Cancer Center for the incredible care and support shown to her over the course of her battle.

Family and friends are invited to a memorial visitation on Thursday, July 6, 2017 from 5:00 – 7:00pm at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE 19808. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, July 7, 2017 at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 525 Polly Drummond Hill Road, Newark, DE 19711. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Wendy’s memory can be made to the Delaware Ovarian Cancer Foundation (DOCF), 701 Sweetleaf Drive, Wilmington, DE 19808.
