Thomas Julian Cox, age 85, of Wilmington, De passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2017.
He was born in Todd, NC. He was a boy scout and attended Crossnar and Pennland School in NC. He served in the Air Force and was stationed in England and Florida. He worked for B & O Railroad and Bancroft Mills in Wilmington.
He was a barber for 50 years, most notably at First Light Barber Shop on Main St. in Newark. He loved fishing and women and was proficient at catching both.
He is survived by his daughters, Dawn Humphrey of Ashville, NC and Tina Roberts of Millville, NJ; his grandson, Jed Humphrey and brother David and his sister in law, Sandy and several nieces and nephews.
A service will be held on Friday, May 26 at 11 am in the chapel of the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City rd., Bear, DE. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
