Theresa R. (Boyce) Klair

Mrs. Theresa R. (Boyce) Klair, “Boycie”, age 87 of Wilmington, DE, passed away at her home on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Klair was born on March 10, 1928.  She was employed by Ametek, Inc., retiring in 1990.  Mrs. Klair was a hardworking, independent woman; and will be dearly remembered as a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She enjoyed trips to the beach, shopping, country line dancing and cooking for her family, especially her famous potato salad made with her special ingredient, love. 

Mrs. Klair was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, William F. Klair, who passed away in 1993; her sister-in-law, Phyllis Musser and “grandson”, Ted Christopher II. 

She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Kachmar (Jack); son, Rodney F. Klair; her 4 grandchildren, Lisa Christopher, Ryan Kachmar (Nicole), Derek DiMaio and Kyle Klair; her 3 great-grandchildren, Delaney Christopher, Morgan Faye Christopher and John Kachmar; her sisters, Elaine Quigley and Joan Nichols; her brother, William Collins (Nancy); her brother-in-law, Lewis K. Musser and several nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to express a special thank you to Nurse Kathleen and volunteer Jenna of Heartland Hospice for all of their care, support and friendship over this last year.

A funeral service will be held at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE 19808 on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 12:00pm, where family and friends may visit beginning at 10:00am. Interment will follow in Red Clay Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, Mrs. Klair’s family suggest contributions be made to the American Lung Association, 630 Churchmans Road, Suite 202, Newark, DE 19702.
