Stewart (Buddy) Lovell, PG

Stewart (Buddy) Lovell, age 61 of Newark, DE passed away on Friday, May 15, 2015.

Stewart was a program manager for DNREC Division of Water Resources retiring in February 2013. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from the University of Delaware in 1984.

He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Becker Lovell; his son, Jeffrey Stewart Lovell; his brother, Mark Lovell and his wife Mary; his parents, Barbara and John Lovell;  his mother in law, Barbara L. Becker, his brother in law and his wife, Karl and Amy Estey Becker and his nephew and nieces.

He was predeceased by his father in law, John J. Becker.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 24 at 1 pm at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Rd., Pike Creek where friends may visit with his family from 11 am-1 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Thompson Field Experience Endowment at the University of Delaware, c/o University Gifts Processing, 83 E. Main St., 3^rd floor, Newark, DE, 19716  in memory of Stewart Lovell.
