(Sara) Grace Freebery

(Sara) Grace Freebery died peacefully in her sleep with her father by her side and holding her hand. Grace was struck by a car on July 29, 2017 and remained in a coma until she passed on August 10, 2017 without regaining consciousness.

Grace is survived by her loving father, Ron Freebery; two beautiful daughters, Carly and Sara; her devoted step-mom, Louisa Smith; step- brothers Aaron, Ian and Eric and a very large, loving family headed by her paternal matriarch, Grace Freebery and her maternal matriarch, Nancy Collins.

Grace is also survived by the many, many friends she made and kept throughout her life. A special friend was Freddie Ramirez.

Grace was predeceased by her mom, Lori Collins, whom Grace adored, and several close relatives: grandfathers, uncles and cousins.

Grace was known for her infectious laugh and quick wit. She was a very kind, loving and sweet young woman who could brighten up an entire room with her gentle smile and hearty laughter. Grace attended Padua Academy for three years, graduated from McKean High School, and was formerly employed at Grotto’s Pizza and MBNA.

Services will be held at Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE 19808 on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation for family and friends beginning at 9 a.m. Immediately after the service, burial will be at All Saints Cemetery, Kirkwood Highway.
