I was truly fortunate to have Sandy as a friend and colleague at St. Joseph's School. When I look back upon those years, it was one of the most valuable experiences I've ever had...and Sandy was a big part of making it worthwhile. She was a bright and caring teacher who showed genuine concern for her students. She was also an inspiring colleague who was always willing to share her thoughts and experience. Besides her contribution to the school, she was the "life of the party" at our after-school get-togethers at the Womble house...who knew she loved fried bologna sandwiches and a glass of rose! I'll miss her and pray for her family who will miss her most.

We always remember the good times we had visiting Sandy and Ronnie in Belgium and hitting some of the pubs in England. As newlyweds, we got together many Saturday nights to play Hearts. Sandy was the perfect hostess. Whether it was 1 person or 50 people, she always remained calm. We will miss the good times.
