Sandra A. (Bernard) MagazinoMay 3, 1944 ~ February 11, 2017 (age 72)
Sandra A. Magazino, age 72, of Wilmington passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 11, 2017 with her loving family by her side. Born in New Orleans, LA, she was the daughter of the late Sidney Bernard and Virginia Bernard DiNicola.
Throughout her life, Sandy was a homemaker and amazing cook, whose specialty was Creole food. She was creatively talented, which she showcased with her beautiful needlework. Sandy was also a talented painter and enjoyed going to the Wine and Painting Nights held at the Senior Center. Sandy was always very active, especially dancing, swimming and doing water aerobics. She loved to go on cruises, where she could be found snorkeling and swimming with the dolphins.
Sandy will be remembered for her love for everyone, her unbelievable energy and her feisty “firecracker” spirit. She lived her life very deliberately and with no regrets.
Sandy was predeceased by her loving husband, Francis L. “Sonny” Magazino. She is survived by her daughter, Juli M. Creek (Michael); her sons, Darren J. Maldonado and Randall P. Maldonado Turcotte; her grandchildren, Nikki (Pete), Codi (Bill) and Frank (Ashlee); her great grandchildren, Luciana, Annalise, and Giovanni; her sister in law, Elizabeth Magazino Pilli; her daughter in law, Bonnie Tyler; her devoted friend, Robert Reeves and his son, Jose; many nieces and nephews; as well as a host of friends.
Family and friends may visit on Thursday, February 16, 2017 from 1:15 to 2:15 PM at Chapel of the Risen Christ at All Saints Cemetery, 6001 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19808, where a Memorial Service will begin at 2:15 PM. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 92 Reads Way, New Castle, DE 19720.
