Rudolph “Rudy” Feldman, age 87, of Wilmington, DE, passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2017.

Rudy was born in Wilmington, DE, son of the late Louis and Gussie Feldman. He worked at General Motors for 42 years, most notably as an electrical repairman and supervisor, retiring as an inspector in 1990. He was also Vice Chairman of Retiree Local UAW 435 for many years. He was an avid card player and loved to fish, golf, and attend his grandsons’ baseball games. A true family man, he enjoyed spending time with his loved ones, especially at the beach.

He was predeceased by his wife of 58 years, Leta Jo Feldman, his son, Mark Feldman, his son-in-law, Kenneth Schorah, his brother, Sidney Feldman, and his sister, Bertha Schreiber.

He is survived by his daughter, Sherron Schorah, his grandchildren, Justin Schorah (Jaclyn), Jonathan Schorah (Ashley), Matthew Feldman (Nichole), Brooke Feldman (Michael), and his great-granddaughters, Chelsea Schorah and Riley Feldman.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 14 from 10-11 am at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Pike Creek and a funeral service will follow at 11. Burial will be in St. James Episcopal Church Cemetery, 2 S. Augustine Street, Newport.

Flowers may be sent or donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 240 N. James Street, Suite 100-A, Newport, DE 19804.
