A gentle soul, Robert Adamovich, 58, of the Pike Creek area in Wilmington, Delaware, died suddenly on Thursday, August 25, 2016. An avid golfer and sports enthusiast, he extended his love for all sports and activities to his nephews, his niece and their children. He proudly coached them throughout the years in baseball, basketball, football, and golf. He had been a coach for Midway Little League as well.
A 1976 graduate of St. Mark's High School, Bob earned a teaching certificate from the University of Delaware. He also held a real estate license, and, most currently, worked for Topline Corporation.
His great love was for his family as he acted as a daily mentor in sports and academics.
Uncle Bob, as he was affectionately called, will be greatly missed by all family and friends for his big heart and giving spirit.
He is survived by his sisters, Diane Brown and Debra Bleakney (Glenn); nephews, Adam Brown, Alex Brown (Jaime); niece, Lauren Bleakney; great nephews, Jayden and Luca; and great niece, Brooklyn. He is predeceased by his parents, John and Theresa Adamovich of Newark.
A viewing for family and friends will take place on Friday, September 2 from 9:30-11:00AM followed by a funeral service at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Pike Creek. A private interment for family will follow at All Saints Cemetery.
