Rebecca Neyers Tigue

Rebecca (Becky) Neyers Tigue, age 70, of Hockessin, DE and formerly of North Wilmington, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 28, 2015. Born in Salisbury, MD on July 12, 1944, she was the daughter of John and Elsie (Cooper) Neyers.

Becky was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School in 1962. She was a devoted mother, stay at home mom and school volunteer and eventually worked in the banking and insurance industries before retiring from AIG in 2010. She loved gardening, baking, crafts and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren; her pride and joy.

She will be dearly missed by her daughters and best friends', Lindsey Vitalo (Dan) and Michele Daly (Jeff), grandchildren; Emilie, Lauren and Joshua all of Wilmington, DE, her brother, Bruce Neyers (Barbara) of St. Helena, CA, her cousins, Carol Layton (Larry) of Bluffton, SC and Harry Saxton (Robbie) of Vero Beach, FL along with nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 11 am at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE 19808. Visitation will be from 10:00am to 11:00 am.  Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Becky's name to Delaware Hospice, 16 Polly Drummond Center, Newark, DE 19711.
