Raymond R. Pierdomenico

Raymond R. Pierdomenico, 82 of Wilmington, DE peacefully passed away surrounded by family on Friday, August 21, 2015.

Ray was born in Chester, PA on February 7, 1933, son of the late Giuseppe and Cirica (Pace) Pierdomenico.  He was employed with Phoenix Steel for 30 years, and spent the final years of his working career with the James River Corporation.  Ray thoroughly enjoyed retirement and was happiest sitting in his porch swing.  He was an avid Eagles football fan and a member of St. John the Beloved Parish.

Ray will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 63 years, Elaine (Davis) Pierdomenico; his children, Kay Piccirilli and husband, Sam, and Raymond Pierdomenico and wife, Maria; his grandchildren, Philip, Jenny, Jeffrey (Tara), Megan (Joe) and Ashley (Chris); and his great grandchildren, Josiah, Isaiah, Gabriella, Giuliana and Evangeline.  In addition, Ray is survived by many nieces, nephews and their families.

He was predeceased by his great grandson, Evan; his brothers, Nicky, Alvo and Vincent; and his sisters, Assunta, Leona and Daria.

Family and friends are invited to visit at St. John the Beloved Church, 907 Milltown Road, Wilmington on Wednesday, August 26 from 9:30-10:45AM.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00AM.  Entombment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ray may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 100 W. 10th Street, Suite 1002, Wilmington, DE 19801.
