Paul W. Williams, Jr.

Paul Williams, age 74, passed away Sunday, October 29, 2017 at Heartland Hospice House. Born in Wilmington, he was the son of the late Jeannette (Oliphant) and Paul W. Williams, Sr.

Paul worked at Williams Appliance Service, which was founded by his father, for 65 years. He was active in the Midway Little League as a coach for many years. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed taking walks with his wife. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and his beloved dog, Fuzzy.

Paul was pre-deceased by his parents and his brother, Terry H. Williams.

Paul is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jody (Joanne Dougherty), his sons, Paul III  (wife Hailey), Jimmy (fiance Dawn), David (wife Angela) and 6 grandchildren. He is also survived by sisters, Donna Navarra (husband Bill), Joanne Williams, brother Chuck (wife Karen) who helped care for him, Aunt Kathy, sister-in-law, Barbara and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 12th at 11:00 am followed by services at the 12:00 noon at Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Rd., Pike Creek, Wilmington, DE 19808.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Nature Conservancy, 100 W. 10th St., # 1107, Wilmington, DE 19801. (nature.org)
