Patsy L. Blodgett

It is with great sadness that the family of Patsy Ruth Loyd Blodgett announces her passing in Wilmington, Delaware on March 6, 2018 at the age of 91.

Born in Terre Haute, Indiana to Emma Katherine and Lambert Jonathan Loyd, Patsy was one of eight siblings.  She resided at 1401 Pennsylvania Avenue for the last 20 years and for many of those served on the building’s council.  She was a great dancer and singer and loved doing crafts projects.  But her favorite thing to do was to play games, especially cards and to be surrounded by her family whom she adored.  She was a smart, funny and classy lady who never left home without looking spectacular.  She was loved by everyone who knew her and will be greatly missed.

Patsy was predeceased by her husband, Kendrick William Blodgett, Jr.  She is survived by her sister, Rosemary Mace, her six children; Kaye Weaver, Cindy Blodgett (Abby), Gini Gladstone, Patsy VonStetten, Betsy Leroy (Ben) and Rick Blodgett (Mary), as well as nine grandchildren; Brenda Krasuski, Karrin Burns (David), Max Krasuski (Lorrie), Kendre VonStetten, Kurt VonStetten (Veroniqua), Steve Gladstone, Lauren LaBrooy (Shaun), Jason Stoltz (Layla) and Kyle Stoltz and three great-grandchildren; Jaxon LaBrooy, and Maya and Riley Stoltz. 

The family will be holding a private memorial service.  Donations in memory of Patsy may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. (wish.org).
