Patricia C. (Smith) Peet

Patricia C. Peet, 71 of Millsboro, DE passed away with loved ones at her side on Tuesday, May 3, 2016.

Pat was born in Wilmington on April 2, 1945, daughter of the late Rodney and Carrie (Sinex) Smith.  A graduate of Conrad High School, she was a member of the marching band and was a star flag twirler.  Pat was a talented gardener, and she loved the beach, the ocean, fishing and time on her boat.  She and her husband were certified scuba divers and enjoyed traveling.  She was a former member of St. Matthew Parish.  As family was her greatest joy, Pat was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Pat will be dearly missed by her husband of 54 years, Ernest; her children, Sherry Turvene (Ted) of Grand Blanc, MI, Michael (Karen) of Greenville, Patrick (Kelly) of Lancaster County, PA, and Jonathan of Long Neck; her grandchildren, Jennifer (Anton), Rebecca, Katherine, Kyle, Courtney, Cody, Haley, Katelyn, Cheyenne and Ryan; and her great grandchildren, Mason Owen, Isabella and Mackenna.  She is also survived by her brother, R. Ronald Smith; and her cousin, who was like a sister, Marsha Coale.

Visitation will be held in the Queen of the Apostles Chapel of Our Lady in Cathedral Cemetery, 2400 Lancaster Avenue, Wilmington on Tuesday, May 10 from 1:00-2:00PM, immediately followed by funeral services.
