Patricia Ann (Prescott) Margis

Patricia Ann “Pat” Margis, 68, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home in Pike Creek on Monday, November 28, 2016. She was born in Baltimore, MD on December 29, 1947, daughter of the late Robert and Mary (Elliott) Prescott.
Loving and devoted to her family, she was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, Anthony M. Margis Sr., who passed away on November 3, 2006. Together, Pat and Tony started a life for themselves in Folcroft PA, where many long lasting friendships began. They moved to New Castle, DE in 1974, where they raised their sons and continued to build long lasting friendships.  In later years, Pat and Tony Sr. made their home with their son, Mike and daughter-in-law, Suzanne in Pike Creek. Towards the end of Pat’s life, Suzanne became her primary care giver, not only assisting her with her daily needs but caring for her in a way only a loved one can.
A beautiful person, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many, Pat left us to be with the love of her life in heaven. If you had the chance to know her, she will be remembered as being down to earth and a wonderful role model for her three sons and seven grandchildren who are all happy to have been in the presence of such an amazing woman. She touched the hearts of everyone she met. We will all cherish the memories made with her. Pat enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, vacationing with them mostly in the Outer Banks of NC.
Patricia is survived by her three sons, Anthony M. Margis Jr. and his wife Rebecca, Michael J. Margis and his wife Suzanne, and Robert A. Margis and his wife, Melissa; her grandchildren, Jonathan, Robert, Colin, Brandon, Alyssa, Nicholas, Seth, and Victoria.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Visiting Angles and the Blood Bank of Delaware for their support.
Memorial Services will be private.
