Nancy (Griest) McClure

Nancy (Griest) McClure, age 69 of Wilmington, DE passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Saturday, February 11, 2017.

 Nancy was a lifetime resident of Delaware and the daughter of Louis and Edna Disabatino

 She was a graduate of Dickinson High School class of 1965 and worked for many years for Wilmington Medical Associates. Following her retirement she enjoyed spending time along the shore at Rock Hall, MD and spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Nancy is predeceased by her husband of 39 years, Douglas Griest McClure, her parents, Louis and Edna Disabatino and her brother, Charles “Reds” Wortman.

She is survived by her two sons, Douglas McClure and Nicholas J. Lamanna, both of Wilmington, DE, four grandchildren, Chriztie Kaufmann, Alissa Lamanna, Nicole Lamanna and Nicholas Lamanna and five great grandchildren. She is also survived by her two sisters, Linda Disabatino of Bear, DE and Joyce Jones of Fairfax, DE and many nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are invited to visit with her family from 5-7 pm on Tuesday evening, February 21, 2017 at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Rd., Pike Creek where a celebration of Nancy’s life will begin at 7.
