Nancy (Baylis) Cosetti

Nancy (Baylis) Cosetti of Wilmington, DE passed away peacefully on March 14, 2018 at the age of 87 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

Born in Newark, she graduated from Newark HS where she excelled at basketball and field hockey.  As a young woman, Nancy worked for several years at Chrysler before working for the University of Delaware for 25+ years. As a member of Cavaliers Country Club for almost 50 years, she was an avid golfer who loved to play several times a week with her friends and family.   She also enjoyed bowling, crocheting, and was an avid Phillies fan.  She especially loved spending time with her family and friends always greeting everyone with a smile that would warm your heart.

She was predeceased by her parents, Clyde and Mildred Baylis; her brother, Clyde Baylis; and her sister, Mildred Weer. Nancy was married to Tony Cosetti for 61 years until his death in 2012.  

She will be greatly missed by her children, Patti Bell (Bill), Joyce Reid (Jeff), Tina Fagan (Tim) all of Wilmington and Jeff Cosetti (Debbie) of Dover; grandchildren, Timmy, Erin, Lauren, Kenny, Kevin, Jenny, Kimberly, Eric and Patrick; and great-grandchildren Mackenzie, Samantha, Kasey, Charlotte, Hunter, Hudson, Jackson, and Ava.

The family would like to express a special thank you to Seasons Hospice for the services and support they provided.

A funeral service will be held at 12:30pm on Monday, March 19, 2018, at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE 19808, where family and friends may visit beginning at 11:00am. Interment will be held in All Saints Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, 240 N. James Street, Suite 100-A, Wilmington, DE 19804 or to the Mill Creek Fire Company, 3808 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19808.
