Martha J. Keeley

Martha J. Keeley, age 81, of Wilmington, DE passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 16, 2017 with her family at her side.

Martha was born and raised in Wilmington. She was a life member of St. Hedwig Church where she was a member of their Holy Rosary Society. She attended grade school at St. Hedwig and in later years was the school librarian. She graduated from Wilmington High School. Martha worked for the State of Delaware in the Court System and was a member of the Alpha Sigma Kappa Sorority. Martha’s proudest accomplishment was her family.

She was predeceased by her parents, Sophie and Stanley Majkowski, her husband, James F. Keeley and her brothers and sisters, Teddy, Casimir, Stanley, Joseph, John, Irene, Sophie and Elizabeth.

She is survived by her children, Jimmy Keeley and his wife, Lois, Karen Ciszkowski and her husband, Gary,  Helene Keeley and her husband, Mike Green, Patti Bistany and husband, Chris; her grandchildren, Jennifer, Caitlyn, Brooke, Kayla, Jackson, Keeley and Rory and her great grandchildren, Joseph, Carter and Keeley Rose.

The family wishes to thank the staff at the Compassionate Care at St. Francis for their care of Martha.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, July 20 from 9-10:30 am in St. Hedwig Church, 408 S. Harrison St., Wilmington where a Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 am. Burial will be in Cathedral Cemetery, Lancaster Ave.
