Mark A. Dixon, Sr.

Mark Andrew Dixon, Sr., passed away peacefully on April 7, 2017, at the age of 53, after a very brief illness. The son of Bob and Betty Dixon, he grew up in Kirkwood Gardens and graduated from Delcastle Vocational Technical High School in 1982. He was employed for many years in the plumbing and pipefitting industry.

Mark was an avid sports fan with an undying love for the Pittsburgh Steelers. The entire world was a stage for Mark; he loved to entertain people and make them laugh. Mark had a huge circle of friends and his loyalty and care for them was immeasurable. He truly loved his family and cherished the time spent with them.

Mark is survived by his wife of 24 years, Shari (Lardi) Dixon; his children, Mark, Erik, and Jenna; his mother, Betty Dixon; his brother, Rob, and his girlfriend, Glenda Soler; his sister, Julie Dixon, and her boyfriend, Al Tulini; his 2 dogs, Solomon and Maximus; and his cat, Kitty.  

He was preceded in death by his father, Bob Dixon.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00pm on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE 19808, where family and friends may visit beginning at 10:00am. Interment will be private.
