Louise Joanna (Guida) Fry, 92, a well-loved resident of Shipley Manor, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 28, 2015.
Louise, daughter of the late Virgilio and Mary Guida, was born and raised in Wilmington, DE. She was a long time resident of Elsmere, living on Olga Road for 55 years. Louise had a strong Christian faith and was a member of Corpus Christi Church. A talented beautician, Louise operated her own hair salon at her home. Along with raising 6 children she created a loving and secure home for her family. Louise was a wonderful cook and well known for her spaghetti, home made raviolis and pizzelles.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James K. Fry, Sr.; five brothers; 3 brothers-in-law; 4 sisters-in-law; and 2 grandsons, Austin Matthew Fry and Michael Spencer Fry.
She is survived by her 2 sons, James K. Fry, Jr. (Vicki), Spencer Fry (Cathy); 4 daughters, Mary Louise Brady (Martin), Elizabeth Ann Johnson (Richard), Jacqueline Brewer (Thomas), Renee Kapa (Thomas); 10 grandchildren, Briana Ebmeier (Paul), Manda Clay (James), Charles J. Henson, Keinan Fry, Megan Kapa, Kira Newswanger (Clark), Zachary Kapa, Brandon Fry, Taylor Fry, Allie Fry; 5 great grandchildren, Ian, Jesse and Alexander Ebmeier, Erin and Emily Clay; and sister-in-law, Margaret C. Guida.
Her life will be celebrated by her loving and dedicated family.
Family and friends are invited to visit at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Pike Creek on Monday, August 31 from 5:00-7:00PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Corpus Christi Church, 905 New Road, Elsmere on Tuesday, September 1 at 10:00AM. Interment will follow in Cathedral Cemetery.
