Lorraine Angela Cherico, 83, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 22, 2017, while surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Wilmington, she was the daughter of the late Dominick and Josephine (Bove) Giordano. Lorraine dedicated her life to raising her family and spreading the word of the Lord. She was a devoted parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua Parish. Lorraine is survived by her husband of 57 years, Anthony Cherico; her daughters, Lisa Cherico and Lana Rivers (Chuck); her sons, Anthony and Dean Cherico; her grandchildren, Lana Michelle, Carla, Colleen, Nichole, Jaci, Albert and Luke and a great-grandson who is on the way; her brother, Joseph Giordano (Arlene); her sister-in-law, Rena Giordano; as well as many members of her extended family and many friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Lauren Cherico and her brother, Dominick Giordano.

Family and friends are invited to visit from 10:00am – 1:00pm on Monday, August 28, 2017 at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 9th and DuPont Streets, Wilmington, DE 19805, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:15pm. Interment will follow in Cathedral Cemetery.
