Lester John

Lester John, 67, of Wilmington, DE passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, August 24, 2017.

Lester was born in Taylor, PA on July 1, 1950, son of the late James and Emma (Smith) John.  A graduate of Delaware Technical & Community College, he was employed as a lab technician at the DuPont Experimental Station and retired after 40 years of dedicated service.  He was an avid sports fan, having especially enjoyed rooting for the Phillies.  Lester was a passionate Beatles fan and proudly founded a Beatles Fan Club Page on Facebook. 

Lester is survived by his children, Kelli and Randy; his sisters, Elsie John DePrisco (Pierre) and Wendy Justison; his uncle and best buddy, Nat Smith; nieces, nephews; many cousins; and the Crowley family.

Family and friends are invited to the visitation at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Pike Creek on Thursday, September 7 from 5:00-6:00PM, with a funeral service immediately following.
