Judy Marie (Gudzelak) Gouge

Judy Marie Gouge peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 20, 2015.  She was a long time Delaware resident, but recently relocated to Lyman, Wyoming.  Born on December 8, 1959, Judy was the daughter of the late Dorothy and Walter Gudzelak. 

Judy graduated from William Penn HS in 1977.  She was employed by Sunoco Refinery and held various other jobs in the same industry for many years.  Judy’s love for life also included her services as an EMT, firefighter, and animal rescuer.  Judy was a huge animal rights advocate.  Over the years she rescued and nurtured many animals.  She loved cross stitch and crocheting.  She enjoyed the outdoors, going to lakes and parks in Wyoming.  Judy was very loving and kind hearted.

Judy will be deeply missed by her husband, Tom Gouge and stepson, Victor Genito. She is also survived by step children, Matthew, Emily, and Sarah Gouge; nephews, Lou and Tony Sessa; along with many cherished family members and friends. 

Family and friends are invited to visit at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Pike Creek, Wilmington on Wednesday, July 29 from 9:30-11:00AM, with funeral services immediately following. Interment will be at All Saints Cemetery, 6001 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Utah Animal Adoption Center, (where Judy adopted her last 2 dogs) 1955 N. Redwood Road, Salt Lake City, Utah 84116 (www.utahanimals.org).
