Joy Harper Wheatley

Joy (Joyful) Harper Wheatley, age 69, died peacefully on August 21, 2017 in Christiana Hospital after a long illness.

Joy is survived by her husband Harold (Bill) Wheatley of Wilmington, DE a sister, Mary Harper George and husband, Steve of Chesapeake City, MD and nephew Stevie George.

Joy was preceded in death by her mother, Virginia M Harper, her brother, Joseph and her father Alex Harper.

Joy enjoyed watching her favorite football team, the PATRIOTS, going to the movies and spending time at the beach. Joy was a very loving and devoted wife to her husband and wanted to spend all her time with him.

A celebration of her life and burial will be private.
