Joseph Niedbalski, age 79 of Wilmington, DE, passed away after a short illness at Seasons Hospice at Christiana Hospital on Saturday, August 20, 2016. He was re-united in God’s Kingdom with his beloved wife, Honey, three days before the first anniversary of her death on August 23, 2015. They are now together in eternal life.

A life-long resident of Wilmington, DE, Joe was born November 14, 1936, the youngest son of the late Joseph and Sophie (Chetkowski) Niedbalski.

Joe was a graduate of Wilmington High School. He served as a proud member of the Army National Guard of Delaware. He was employed by NVF Company for over 30 years.

Joe will be remembered for his warm and generous spirit, always demonstrating a genuine interest in both your celebrations and your sorrows; and for honoring the importance of family traditions. He enjoyed thoroughbred racing at Delaware Park and traveling with his wife, Honey.

Joe will be deeply missed by his sisters-in-law, Barbara Niedbalksi and Irene Gorski; his nieces and nephews, Catherine Rossi, Patricia Humphries, John Adam Niedbalski, Jr., Karen Starr, Gail Gorski, Lynn Czech, Gary Gorski, Stan Ptak, Robert Ptak, and Annmarie Stafford; and his godchildren, Patti, Gary and Justin.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 55 years, Honey; and his brothers, Eugene and John.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Friday, August 26, 2016 at St. John the Beloved Church, 907 Milltown Road, Wilmington, DE 19808, where family and friends may visit from 9:45am – 10:45am. Burial will be held in All Saints Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Joe’s memory can be made to St. John the Beloved Church at the address listed above.
