Joan Donnelly

Joan Donnelly, age 85, died peacefully at home surrounded by her family in the early morning hours of July 9,2017.

Joan grew up and raised her family in Brooklyn, NY.  She moved to Delaware in 1996 and became involved in the community of Hershey Run.

Joan is survived by her children, Joan & Lex Beal, Ellen Turano, Bill & Peggy Donnelly, Susan & Neil Kaye, Mary Beth & Andrew O’Hara, Sally & Michael Strano, 16 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond in 1991 and her son-in-law, Michael Turano in 2009.

A viewing will be held at Resurrection Parish, 3000 Videre Dr, Skyline Ridge, Wilmington DE, on Tuesday, July 11 from 5-8 pm where a Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, July 12 at 10 am. Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery immediately following.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Joan’s memory may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), 100 W. 10th St., #1103, Wilmington, DE 19801, Vitas Hospice of Delaware, 100 Commerce Dr., #302, Newark, DE 19713 and Resurrection Parish.
