Jane Elizabeth (Dunphy) Donovan

Our beloved mother, Jane Elizabeth Donovan, age 82, of Newark, DE, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, March 10, 2018, surrounded by her children.

Jane was born in Brighton, MA, daughter of the late Albert and Isabelle Dunphy.

She is survived by her six children, Heidi DiRocco (Will), Matthew Donovan (Rita), Holly Perry (Thomas), Elise Morse (Bob), Julie Davis (Glenn) and Christian Donovan (Lindsey); 10 loving grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Margaret Scarry; as well as many nieces, nephews, and members of her extended family.

In addition to her parents and beloved husband, the late George J. Donovan, who left this world in 2010, Jane was preceded in death by her daughter, Elizabeth.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Friday, March 16, 2018 at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 2503 Centerville Road, Wilmington, DE 19808. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Jane’s memory can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, PO Box 1893, Memphis, TN 38101-9950, a cause that was very near and dear to Jane’s heart.
