Gregory Mangesian

Gregory Mangesian, age 51, of Wilmington, DE peacefully passed away with his loving wife and his family at his side on Saturday, March 21, 2015.

Born in Old City, Jerusalem, Israel on November 19, 1963, Greg came to the United States in 1979.  He worked installing security systems for 20 years, and also worked in furniture sales.  Greg attended St. Gregory’s Armenian Church, Philadelphia and St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Hockessin.  He enjoyed Armenian music and dancing.  His infectious smile and great sense of humor will be missed by all who knew him. 

Greg is survived by his wife, Sharon (Stinson) Mangesian; his children, Jennifer, Christine and Gregory Mangesian; his granddaughter, Riley; his brothers, Anton, Armen and George; his sisters, Sona and Marlen; his foster father, Jack Mangesian; and his foster aunt, Vicky Smith.

Greg was predeceased by his parents, Harout Hindoian and Azniv (Aslanian) Hindoian; and his brother, Hagop.

Funeral services will be held at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Pike Creek on Thursday, March 26 at 11:00AM. 

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Greg may be made to Heartland Hospice, 5661 Ocheltree Lane, Wilmington, DE 19808.
