Frances T. Kelly Cain, age 101 of Wilmington, DE, passed away on Thursday, November 26, 2015.  She was born in Wilmington on March 19, 1914, daughter of the late William and Mary J. Bain Kelly.

Frances dedicated her life to raising, supporting and loving her family.  She lived a life of unending selflessness built on strong faith and spirituality.  The life she led inspired her family and everyone she met.  She will be truly missed.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Faith Cutrona (Anthony), Gerard “Jerry” Cain (Lynnie), Marie C. LeVan, Denise Serio (Nick), and Theresa “Terry” Cain; her thirteen grandchildren, Gregory Cutrona (Debbie), Mark Cutrona (Debbie), Edward Cutrona (Diana), Lisa Cain, Douglas Cain, Kathleen Dastin (Gary), Kate LeVan, Trevor LeVan (Tateum), Collin LeVan, Kevin Palladinetti (Carrie), Erin Fetters (Rob), Angelo Serio (Stephanie) and Nick Serio, Jr.; her twenty-three great-grandchildren, Alex, Nicholas, Andrew, Kelly, Matthew, Abigail, Lily and Elizabeth Cutrona, Megan, Bridget, Jillian and Eric Cain, Alex, Rachael and Ben Dastin, Adam and Emily Smith, Amelie LeVan, Adriana and Brodie Palladinetti, Peyton Fetters, Angelo and Sophia Serio; her cousin, John Bain; and a host of others to whom she was known as “Nana.”

In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Alan; her son, Gregory; and her siblings, Jack, William, Marie and Helen Kelly, Grace Horisk and Regina Ergler.

Frances’ family would like to thank the staff of Easter Seals for their care and compassion.

Family and friends are invited to visit at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Pike Creek, Wilmington, DE 19808 on Tuesday, December 1 from 5:00-7:00PM.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Ann’ Catholic Church, Gilpin Avenue and Union Street, Wilmington, DE 19806 on Wednesday, December 2 at 10:00AM.  Interment will follow in Cathedral Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Ann’s Church, in memory of her special angel, Gregory Cain, 2013 Gilpin Avenue, Wilmington, DE 19806, or to Easter Seals, 61 Corporate Circle, New Castle, DE 19720.
