Felix A. Poppiti, III

Felix A. Poppiti, III, "Skip" age 57, of Wilmington, DE passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at home.

 Felix was born in Wilmington, DE and attended Oak Grove School, Stanton Middle School and Dickinson High School.  He played football in the CYO league in Elsmere and in the N.C.F.F.L in Brookside. He enjoyed going to Oak Orchard, Rehoboth and Ocean City beaches.

Felix enjoyed fishing and crabbing. After school he joined the army and then worked with his brother for Poppiti Roofing and also for the News Journal. He was an avid NASCAR, Flyers and Eagles fan.

He was predeceased by his mother, Patricia Poppiti and his brother, David Poppiti. He is survived by  his brother, Scott Poppiti, children, Anthony, Nicole and Allison Poppiti, his granddaughter, Felicia Poppiti, his dad, Felix A. Poppiti, Jr., his aunts, Gerri Poppiti, Julie Short and Sharon Pusey his uncles, Richard Green and Thomas Green and numerous nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, December 14 from 10 am -12 noon at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Rd., Pike Creek followed by a service at 12. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Temple University Hospital, 3401 N Broad St., Philadelphia, PA 19140.
