Donna Cicchetti

Donna Cicchetti of Newark, Delaware, born on August 7, 1963, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 22, 2015.

Donna graduated from Thomas McKean High School in 1981. She went on to become a postmaster for the United States Postal Service. Some of her many hobbies included playing softball, going shopping at the outlets, relaxing at the beach, playing games on the computer and arcade, drawing, watching Christmas movies, and most of all spending time with her family and close friends. Donna had a great sense of humor and could always bring a smile to someone's face. She will always be remembered holding her large Dunkin' Donuts coffee. Donna was a hardworking, dedicated, generous, and compassionate mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.

She was preceded in death by her father, John Cicchetti; brother, Michael Cicchetti; grandparents, Michael and Mary Kasowski; grandfather, John Cicchetti; uncle, Patrick Cicchetti; and cousin, Barbara A. Cutillo.

Donna will be sadly missed by her son, Corey Michael Cicchetti, who was her pride and joy; mother, Ann (Kasowski) Cicchetti; grandmother Lydia T. (Michini) Cicchetti; sister, Karen Southard and her husband, Jim; niece, Alyssa Southard; and nephew, Jimmy Southard.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday January 31, 2015 at 11:00AM at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Pike Creek, Wilmington, DE 19808. Visitation for family and friends will occur from 9:30 to 11:00AM.
