Darlene M. Sokola

Darlene M. Sokola, 59 of Hockessin, DE passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 20, 2017.

Born in Wilmington on June 1, 1958, Darlene was a graduate of St. Mark’s High School and Syracuse University, where she earned a degree in accounting.  She began her working career as a CPA, and later joined the Federal Bureau of Investigation.  As a special agent with the FBI, Darlene served in the New Haven, CT office for more than 10 years before transferring to the Wilmington, DE office.  She retired in 2013 after 25 years of dedicated service. 

Darlene is survived by her father, Leonard Sokola (Noreen); her brothers, John Bizjak, William Bizjak, Leon Sokola, Larry Sokola; her nieces, Lauren and Michelle; her nephews, John, Jr. and Robert.

She was predeceased by her mother, Mary Ann Sokola.

Friends are invited to visit at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Pike Creek on Tuesday, June 27 from 9:30-11:00AM.  A graveside funeral service will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
