Catherine BaconMarch 19, 1964 ~ October 9, 2017 (age 53)
Catherine Bacon, 53, most recently of Philadelphia, PA, peacefully passed away surrounded by her loving family on Monday, October 9, 2017.
Cathy was a graduate of Corpus Christi Grade School, St. Mark’s High School, and the University of Delaware, where she earned Bachelor’s Degrees in both Biology and Psychology. She was employed as a data entry supervisor with Iron Mountain, Inc. from 1996 to 2009.
While living in the state of Oregon, Cathy became a dedicated member of Battle Ground Community Baptist Church (Battle Ground, WA), headed up prayer teams and was active in many church sponsored community outreach programs. She enjoyed bible study, Christian music and worshiping with her church family. Cathy also enjoyed gardening and was known to indulge in her fair share of chocolate.
In 2009, Cathy ‘s life was forever changed after suffering two strokes. Since that time, she experienced many health issues requiring multiple surgeries, hospital stays and complications along the way. Throughout these struggles, Cathy never lost her joy for living. She was an inspiration to many with her contagious smile and spirit of positivity and strength.
Cathy will be dearly missed by her mother, Mary (Brown) Bacon; her husband, Dave Ricucci; her sister, Mary Roepke; her brothers, Harry Bacon III and wife, Linda, Joseph Bacon and wife, Cynthia, Dennis Bacon and wife, Patricia; her nieces and nephews, Bob (Kara), Liz (Joe), Bridget, Jessica (Rick), Charles (Michele), Erica, Brittany (Patrick), Jillian, Kelsey; and her 8 great nieces and nephews.
Cathy was predeceased by her father, Harry J. Bacon Jr.; and her brother-in-law, Robert Roepke.
Family and friends are invited to visit at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Pike Creek on Friday, October 13 from 5:00-7:00PM. Funeral services will be held at St. Joseph on the Brandywine Church, 10 Old Church Road, Greenville on Saturday, October 14 at 10:00AM, followed by interment in the parish cemetery.
