Carolyn Harbaugh Ropp

Carolyn Harbaugh Ropp, age 87, of Wilmington, Delaware passed away on March 22, 2015.

Carolyn was born in Wilmington on January 29, 1928, the daughter and only child of Charles Frederick Harbaugh and Evelyn Bennett Harbaugh. She attended Wesley College and worked at the Equitable Trust and DuPont Companies.

She is survived by her husband, Dr. Walter S. Ropp, her children, James Brian Ropp, Patricia Ropp Parker, Donald Charles Ropp, and her grandchildren, Mariah Parker, Julia Parker, Brandon Ropp and Kyle Ropp.

Carolyn was an avid bridge player and passionate volunteer. She was a Docent at Winterthur Museum for fifteen years and a Guide for the Amstel House and the George Read House Museums. A member of the Junior Board, she served as Head of the Mother's Milk Bank.  She was an election judge for 53 years and a member of the George Washington Society. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, March 28, 2015, at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE 19808, where family and friends may visit beginning at 10:00. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Meals On Wheels, 1703 West 10th Street, Wilmington, DE19805.
