Brian Paul Snyder

Brian P. Snyder, 54 of Newark, DE, passed away peacefully at home with his loving family at his side.

He was born in Wilmington, and was a graduate of the University of Delaware. Brian worked for several years as a project manager at a variety of local businesses, most recently for Bob Wagner’s Flooring.

Brian enjoyed bowling, playing poker and softball. His family will always cherish the trips to the cottage he built on the Chesapeake Bay. He went above and beyond to help others and found great joy in helping his friends and colleagues with construction projects around their homes. Above all else, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his daughters, and granddaughter. He will be dearly missed.

Brian is survived by his loving wife, Susan (Cox) Snyder; his daughters, Jacki Snyder and Jessica Snyder (Jeramey Foraker); his granddaughter, Riley Foraker; his mother, Mary Jane Wagner; his siblings, Keith Snyder (Chris), and Laura Wagner (Dave); and his 5 nephews and other members of his extended family.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Snyder.

Brian’s family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia, for their outstanding care and support.

Family and friends are invited to visit from 10:00am – 12:30pm on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE 19808, where a brief celebration of life service will be held at 12:30pm. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Brian’s memory can be made to Habitat for Humanity, 121 Habitat Street, Americus, GA 31709-3498.
