Audrey P. (Patton) Hambleton

Audrey Patton Hambleton, 91 of Wilmington, DE passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2016.

A veteran of World War II, Audrey served our country as a member of the United States Coast Guard.  She was a homemaker and a former member of Peniel United Methodist Church.  Audrey and her husband enjoyed traveling extensively throughout North America.

Her husband of 53 years, William B. Hambleton, passed away on December 6, 1999.  She was also predeceased by her son, Richard P. Hambleton; and her sister, Martha P. Roberts.

Audrey is survived by her children, Jeraldine H. Morehouse (Rick), William B. Hambleton Jr. (Joanne) and Jeffrey M. Hambleton; her grandchildren and her great grandchildren.

Friends are invited to visit at the Doherty Funeral Home, 1900 Delaware Avenue, Wilmington on Thursday, May 12 from 11:00-11:30AM.  Funeral services will begin at 11:30AM, with interment to follow in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
