Arlene M. (Wentz) Lenick, 76, of Wilmington, DE peacefully passed away surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, October 3, 2017.

Arlene was born in Pottsville, PA on September 20, 1941, daughter of the late John and Jenny (Michalski) Wentz.  Upon graduation from high school, she immediately went to work for the State of Pennsylvania in Harrisburg.  After moving to Delaware with her husband, Tyko, Arlene became employed as a member of the cafeteria staff with the Red Clay Consolidated School District, and later at Cokesbury Village.  Arlene enjoyed time at the beach, yearly trips with her husband to Dayton, FL, and trying her luck at Delaware Park.  She was also a Phillies and Eagles fan.  In these last several years, Arlene enjoyed her days at Clarence Fraim Senior Center, where she played bocce and Wii bowling.  Her greatest source of joy was being with her beloved grandchildren, and Arlene proudly and prominently cheered for them at all of their sporting events.

Her husband of 41 years, Frederick “Tyko” Lenick, passed away on September 14, 2005.

Arlene will be dearly missed by her children, Patti Malick and husband, Jon, David Lenick and fiancée, Susan; her grandchildren, JT, Kyle, Maddie, Tyler, and Troy.  She is also survived by her sister, Tisha Heffner and husband, Benny; her step sister, Lorraine Malatesta; her nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to visit at St. John the Beloved Church, 907 Milltown Road, Wilmington on Monday, October 9 from 9:30-10:45AM.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00AM.  Interment will be held privately.
