Mr Mas was one of the gems at Tatnall, standing out for all that he loved teaching and cared for the students. He had the most wonderful laugh you could hear all the way down the hallway, and he was a joy to have as a teacher. The world (and thousands of students) are better for having known him. Mr. Mas was one of my favorite teachers. He made science fun even for those of us who are not real science students. You could always tell that he cared about each student. I spoke with him about six months ago and he sounded exactly the same. Sending the family my sympathy and prayers. He was one of the best.

I have many fond memories of 8th grade science - learning lab safety, writing proper lab notes, and, of course, the fun stuff - watching hair stand up when students touched the electricity ball!
