Angelo J. Paoletti, age 69, of Newark , Delaware, born January 6, 1948 in Wilmington, Delaware, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, May 6, 2017.
Angelo graduated from Conrad High School in Wilmington, Delaware. He served in the military, United States Army in 1968. Angelo worked for EAR Specialty Composites, Newark, Delaware beginning in the 1970s and retired in 2009 as a foreman.
Angelo was a big fan of Elvis Presley. He liked to imitate and sing like Elvis. He was very interested in astronomy. Angelo enjoyed cooking, baking and having family gatherings during special occasions. He and his wife, Lorraine did everything together; they were like two Love Birds. Angelo was a loving and caring person who always helped others.
He was predeceased by his parents, Fabio and Josephine (Ercole) Paoletti; and his sister, Jeannette Paoletti.
Angelo is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 42 years, M. Lorraine Paoletti; his step son, Fred Daemer and his wife, Maryann; his brothers, Joseph and James; his sister, Louise McDowell; his nieces, Louise J. and Michelle McDowell, Stephanie N. Paoletti.
We love him, and he will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
The visitation for Angelo will be held at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Pike Creek on Friday, May 12 from 9:30-11:00AM. Funeral services will begin at 11:00AM, followed by interment in All Saints Cemetery.
