Andrew F. Kautz, Jr.

Andrew F. Kautz, Jr., 86, of Wilmington, DE peacefully passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2017.

Andy was born in Wilmington on June 15, 1930, son of the late Andrew F., Sr. and Kathryn (Hayden) Kautz.  A graduate of Salesianum School and the University of Delaware, he proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War Era.  Andy was employed with Continental American Life Insurance Company for thirty years and retired as Assistant Treasurer.  He was a long time member and devoted supporter of Corpus Christi Parish.  Andy was an avid Phillies fan, and in his younger years enjoyed bowling and model railroading.

In addition to his parents, Andy was predeceased by his sisters, Frances Kautz, Jean Toy and her husband, Richard Toy, Sr.

Andy is survived by his niece, Marianne Robinson and husband, Reese; his nephews, Richard Toy, Jr. and wife, Patricia; Michael Toy and wife, Jean; eight great nephews and nieces; twelve great-great nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to visit at Corpus Christi Church, 905 New Road, Elsmere on Monday, February 27 from 9:30-10:45AM.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00AM.  Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Andy may be made to the Little Sisters of the Poor (Jeanne Jugan Residence), 185 Salem Church Road, Newark, DE 19713.
