Beverly Ann Green

Beverly Ann Green, age 85, of Newark, DE, passed away on Wednesday, April 10th, 2024 with her loving family by her side.

Beverly was born in Wilmington in 1939 to the late Willis & Catherine (Murphy) Grier. She attended and graduated from Wilmington High School, Class of 1957. She then went on to work for MBNA for 20 years. Beverly was then able to enjoy her retirement years with her family. Most of all, Beverly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She also had the wonderful opportunity to do quite a bit of traveling with her significant other, Sidney, including trips to Italy and Wales. Beverly also loved the simple things in life, like watching her favorite television programs and reading the newspaper.

She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Nicole Green, and her significant other, Sidney Redmile.

Beverly is survived by her children, William A. Green IV (Virginia) and Sharon Walinski; her four grandchildren; her six great-grandchildren; and her four great-great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed and forever cherished.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 from 12PM-1PM at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Rd., Wilmington, DE 19808. A funeral service will begin at 1PM. Interment will take place at a later date in Silverbrook Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in Beverly’s name to Helen F. Graham Cancer Center, 4000 Nexus Drive, Suite W3-300, Wilmington, DE 19803.
