Sally Stayton Kadel

It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of our dear Mother, Gigi, Sister and friend, Sally Stayton Kadel.  Sally passed on December 24, 2017 and will be deeply missed by her loved ones.

Sally was a native Delawarean born on July 24, 1943 in Beebe Hospital in Lewes, DE.   Sally graduated from Newark High School and attended the University of Delaware and the University of Arizona.  She raised her three children, Lauren (Allgood), Peter and Michael Subach in Newark, DE.  Sally then relocated to Parsippany, NJ with her husband, Henry Kadel.   They later retired to a home in Rehoboth Beach, DE that became the gathering place for her beloved family and friends.  The highlight of many years was the Thanksgiving weekend-long family celebration held at Sally’s home.  She was truly the “life of the party” and a gracious hostess.  

Sally was predeceased by her beloved husband, Hank, her parents, Dr. Howard (Jim) Stayton and Arlene Wagner deBie and sister, Dale Boines.   She is survived by her children, Lauren Allgood (Dr. Charles); Dr. Peter Subach (Christine) and Michael Subach as well as her siblings, Andrew Stayton (Lauren), Anne Lawson (Douglas) and brother in law, Daniel Boines.  Gigi will be missed dearly by her grandchildren, Sam, Thomas, Meghan and Collin.  

A memorial service will be held on Friday January 12 at 6:30 pm at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Rd., Pike Creek where friends may visit after 5pm
