Keith Roy Weaver

Keith R. Weaver, 85, of Wilmington, passed away on October 2, 2017. He was a loving son, brother, husband, dad, pop and friend to many. He loved to laugh and enjoyed everything life has to offer.  He was an active member of the Delaware community where he lived most of his life.  He was born and raised in Ohio.  He married the love of his life, Alice, and they shared their life together for over 63 years.  He loved and cherished his 3 daughters and 2 grandchildren.

He graduated from The Ohio State University in 1955 and worked for Dupont for over 38 years as a Chemical Engineer.  He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hiking with his friends from the Wilmington Trail Club and Friends of White Clay Creek.  He was a dedicated member, volunteer and board member of Mended Hearts Chapter #198 for over 25 years.  In all his journeys, he enjoyed the company of others the most.  

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE 19808, where family and friends may visit beginning at 10:00am. 

In lieu of flowers, Keith’s family suggests that donations in his memory be made to Mended Hearts Inc, Chapter 198 in Christiana Hospital.
